Traci is a common sense, results-oriented leader who believes in the power of our local businesses to help create an economy that provides an abundance of opportunity and good, high-paying careers. ​ In her first term as State Representative, Traci has fought to help keep Florida open for business and helped champion legislative priorities that helped make Florida a leader in economic growth, education innovation, and environmental restoration.
Traci Koster has a passion for service in our Tampa Bay community . An accomplished lawyer and legal professional, Traci was named a Rising Star by Super Lawyers for the past seven consecutive years. She is active in the legal community as the President of the Hillsborough County Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division and the co-founder and co-chair of Tampa Bay Pro Bono Partners. For her work with the Tampa Bay Pro Bono Partners, Traci was the recipient of the 2016 Outstanding Pro Bono Service by a Young Lawyer Award, presented by the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit. In 2019, Traci received the Florida Bar’s Lynn Futch Most Productive Young Lawyer Award in recognition of Traci’s commitment to the legal community and the community at large. In law school, she was recognized as the Stanley Milledge Award Recipient and the William F. Blews Pro Bono Service Award Recipient. ​ As a mother of two young children, Traci’s passion for our community extends beyond the courtroom. Investing in Infrastructure Traffic congestion, neighborhood flooding, sewage releases into our waterways – we have many infrastructure challenges. Fortunately, Florida’s transportation trust fund is one of the most fiscally sound in the nation and we can continue to invest in new roads, infrastructure upgrades, and flood mitigation efforts. Florida should protect the fiscal stability of our transportation trust fund and continue to frontload projects that upgrade our infrastructure
Safely Reopen our Local Economy Every elected official, across every level of government, should focus all of their efforts in transitioning from pandemic to prosperity. That means we have to safely reopen our local economy – allow businesses to function at a profit while continuing to practice sensible and practical safety measures. To help our local businesses and employees navigate these difficult times, we must keep taxes low on our small businesses and working families as well as make it easier for Floridians to find work and obtain licenses to start their careers.
