Local Government
Every required safety inspection under the Florida Building Code remains in place, but the unnecessary paperwork and delays are eliminated so families can return home sooner.
The first bill I’ll file is the One Permit Hurricane Recovery Act . After a storm, homeowners shouldn’t drown in paperwork just to rebuild their homes. This legislation streamlines the rebuilding process by replacing multiple permits for roofing, electrical, structural, plumbing, HVAC, and other repairs with a single, comprehensive permit. One permit for all hurricane-related damage means families can begin rebuilding faster and without unnecessary delays. The bill establishes a unified Master Emergency Permit that covers all hurricane-related repairs with one application and one approval. Every required safety inspection under the Florida Building Code remains in place, but the unnecessary paperwork and delays are eliminated so families can return home sooner.
