From his first day as an Assistant State Attorney, Stefen Diskey has focused on one thing: serving the people of this community with integrity, fairness, and respect. Over the course of his career, he has handled cases at every level — from misdemeanors to the most serious capital felony offenses — including a significant focus on prosecuting crimes involving the abuse of children and the elderly. Today, as a Lead Trial Attorney, he supervises a team of prosecutors and helps oversee more than 1,000 active cases. Every day, he sees firsthand how much is at stake for victims, families, and defendants alike. That experience has shaped his steady approach to the law and earned him the respect of colleagues, judges, and courtroom participants alike. Stefen’s commitment to public service is deeply personal. Born and raised in Pasco County, he grew up watching his father dedicate more than four decades to this community — first as a prosecutor, then a defense attorney, and finally nearly 30 years as a Circuit Court Judge. That example instilled in him a strong sense of duty, humility, and the importance of treating people with dignity. It is what led him to a career in law, and it is what guides him today.
