What to know

Polega-Quigley is a St. Petersburg attorney and Stetson law graduate who has practiced litigation focused on insurance disputes. She has also done pro bono work, including representing minors in Florida's judicial-bypass process. It is an open seat, and she entered after Democratic Rep. Lindsay Cross decided not to run again; Cross endorsed her. Her campaign is about cost of living, especially insurance, housing and healthcare costs, and about water quality and flooding.
