What to know

Taddeo is a Miami Democrat who served in the Florida Senate from 2017 to 2022 and founded a translation business, LanguageSpeak, in 1995. She was Charlie Crist's running mate for lieutenant governor in 2014 and has run for several other offices since, including Congress in 2022 and Miami-Dade clerk in 2024. She won the August Democratic primary with about 66% of the vote.
