What to know
Peters has held this seat by election since 2018 and is seeking a third term. Before that she served six years in the Florida House (2012 to 2018) and was mayor of South Pasadena, and she lost the 2014 Republican primary for Congress to David Jolly. Her campaign lists four priorities: holding the line on property taxes and county fees, managing growth while rejecting industrial data centers, beach nourishment and Tampa Bay estuary protection, and finishing the county's behavioral-health system of care.
