Michael is running so the next generation of Floridians can do more than just get by — they can build something. The American Dream still works. Washington just keeps getting in the way.

I planned on raising my family in Tampa, building my career, and being a good neighbor. But somewhere along the way, I started watching the country and area I love get harder for the people I love. A trip to the grocery store turned into a math problem. A first home turned into a fantasy for my older kids’ generation. And Washington, the place that’s supposed to be working on this, was too busy fighting itself to notice. So I decided I could’t sit it out. I’m not a career politician. I’ve never wanted to be.
