Morris Silberman has served on the Second District Court of Appeal since January 2001, when Gov. Jeb Bush appointed him. He was its chief judge from 2011 to 2013. Before joining the bench he practiced business litigation and appellate law in Clearwater. Voters have retained him four times, most recently in 2020 with about 71 percent voting yes.
